Application Procedure

On the following page you will find important information concerning your application for a scholarship in the Research Training Group IMMUCO.

These are the prerequisites for a successful application:

  • You must be enrolled as Charité student.
  • You must have reached the clinical part of your medical studies.
  • You must schedule at least one or even two semesters off.
  • You should be interested in working in the field of experimental research with a medical background.
  • Your English should be fluent.


Applications can be submitted starting February, 10th 2010.
Your application must include:

  • An informative and concise letter of motivation where you should give a personal statement about your academic background, research experience, your research interests and career aims. Please be aware that your letter of motivation is the most important part of your application and should be prepared in a clear and communicative way to convince the committee that you are the ideal candidate for our program.
  • A short curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Relevant certificates (school leaving examination, medical exam)

After receiving your application including all indicated documents we will invite you to a personal interview. After admission to the program you will have to choose preferences from the actual list of theses. To get a first impression of your group of choice we recommend spending some time in the laboratory to facilitate the final decision.
